Kobe Bryant's 41 Point Loss To Boston…..Ouch

If Paul Pierce says the Celtics had no reason to discuss Game 7 of the NBA finals last summer then we agree. Bryant scored his 27,000th career point but the Celtics overcame Kobe Bryant’s 41 points in a 109-96 victory over Los Angeles.

Pierce scored 32 points, Kevin Garnett had 18 points and 13 rebounds.  Ray Allen scored 21 points. Shaq didn’t score. He received alot of  boos when he was  introduced as the Celtics’ starting center. Reportedly some sports fans yelled out “traitor”. So what, the title might be a little misleading…. the Lakers lost by 13 not 41.  We got no complaints over here though….(smile)

And The Next Mayor Of Chicago Will Be….

Rahm Emanuel’s name was stricken from the ballots for the Chicago mayoral race not too long ago. The Illinois court cited that Rahm had not been a physical resident of the city for nearly two years. Rahm had moved his family to Washington D.C. while he served as White House Chief of  Staff under President Obama.

Rahm rented out his home in Illinois while he was working in D.C. and the courts had stricken his name from the ballots. Illinois higher court “stayed” the decision and ordered Rahm Emanuel’s name be added to the ballots when printed. The court has not ruled on the residency issue but will allow Emanuel’s name to remain on the ballot for now.

Rahm had been considered a sure thing to win by many as he raised more money than any other mayoral candidate and even brought in heavy hitters like Bill Clinton to endorse his candidacy. The other candidates in the mayoral race are Former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun, city Clerk Miguel del Valle and former Chicago schools chief Gery Chico. Now that his name is back on the ballots all we can do is wait. The election is scheduled for February 22, 2011.
