Soulja Boy lies about coppin’ a G5 Jet. Is he a genius or just stoopid? [Yes that’s right. Stoopid with 2 o’s]
Soulja Boy, Deandre Cortez Way, just recently turned 21. He is mostly known for his hit “Crank That” released in 2007. He is both admired and reviled within the rap community. Some folks noting his aspirations and others his lack of (say) talent.
Soulja Boy recently made headlines when TMZ confirmed that he had paid cash for a G5 jet. Thisis50 reported yesterday that Soulja Boy not only bought the plane but also spent an additional $20 million to renovate it with custom Italian leather seats and the like.
Since then the Soulja Boy camp has come clean. It’s been reported that a Rep for Soulja Boy has admitted that the story is false. This is disappointing even to those who aren’t Soulja Boy fans. This brings the bar for Rap entertainers to an all new low. Soulja Boy even went on the radio and played along the sideshow prior to throwing his birthday party.
Mainstream rap has become the new pop culture. Along with it comes all the effects of WWE side show. Just yesterday folks were singing the praise of Soulja Boy [Deandre Cortez Way] for having amassed such fortune. This is how it works now, any headlines is better than no headlines. Atleast that seems to be the thinking of publicists nowadays.
It’s time for a new h2TV episode. This one is a throwback that you’ll watch more than once. It’s kind’a like a tribute the boy bands of the 80’s and 90’s but not really… 21 minutes and 55 seconds of remembering… The episode starts off with none other than New Edition [If It Isn’t Love] and finishes with Jodeci [Get On Up]. What happens in between is a mixture of remembering, pondering and laughing:
NKOTB is currently touring with BSB. New Edition is on tour as well. I know some of you have your tickets already. This is the best H2TV episode to watch to get you in the mood before you go to the show (smile). This episode of feel good music was brought to you by Humanclayphotography520.com

50 has found a new way to break his singles. Usually 50 uses beef with another recording artist. He has now taken to the idea of beefin’ with his label Interscope to help create a presence for his new singles. 50 says he loves Dre but will “leak” another song today at 2:00 p.m.
50 says: “Man I’m not releasing a album i can’t believe interscope is this f*cked up right now. I apologize to all my fans,” 50 wrote. “I will work with other artist on there projects but I will not put out another album. They dropped the ball with me one time to many. I LOVE DRE but I’m putting his next single psycho out tomorrow at 2:00 #SK.”
Pardon my excitement but there hasn’t been much competition in hiphop lately. Papoose remakes Otis better than Kanye and Jigga. Once again raising the bar. If you are going to constantly infer that you are the best you should deliver only the best. Well, so much for the hype. Thank you Papoose for delivering well thought out lyrics that I can listen to and not feel ashamed. It’s not supposed to be this easy to outshine someone [Jay-z and Kanye] who boasts on every track. Listen for yourself:
