A Letter To My Little Sister [h2TV Episode 125]

Ooooohhh, h2TV Episode #125 is up. Props to h2TV. Yes, once again if you like lyrics you’ll love Episode 125. If I had to pen a letter of advice to my younger sisters it would probably go something like this:

After the Barbies and Bratz Dolls get old (you know what I’m referring to) at some point you will want more from life. Originality, style, and advice are all wrapped in this stream music called Episode #125. Please listen carefully:

Run Time 23:21

Just F.Y.I. h2TV #125 features two songs from the artist Bahamadia (Antonia Reed). Bahamadia was/is a respected lyricist in hip hop and is known for her subdued monotone delivery over jazzy beats. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. She started out as a DJ and later became an MC. In 1996 she released her debut album entitled Kollage. The album featured production by Guru and DJ Premier of Gang Starr. Kollage was followed in 2001 by BB Queen.

I remember (’95) when I first heard the voice of Bahamadia. She was featured on the song Proceed by The Roots. For months Proceed was my favorite song to walk home to after school.

Visit every Friday at noon to watch the newest streams. In case you can’t make it there we will keep an archive over here at Sub-Z.Info.

Dealing With The Death of Troy Davis

When  I heard the news that Troy Davis received a stay of execution I reported on it. Later on that night I found out that Troy Davis had been executed anyway at approximately 11:08 p.m. I really want to reserve comment on the Troy Davis situation until I can do so without emotion.  Here’s an article posted by Newsone which asks the question: “How Do You Feel About The Execution of Troy Davis?

Odd Future Signs Rapper Named "Young Ni**a"??

It looks like Tyler the Creator is playing games with the blogosphere and most people haven’t picked up on it yet. Several (usually reliable) sources are reporting that a publicist for Odd Future has announced the signing of a new artist named “Young Nigga”. Yep. Reports started coming in on Friday best I could tell. It is now Sunday and noone has reported it as a joke. If you are a hiphop fan or a patron of rap music on general then you know what Tyler the Creator looks like by now. When I tried to search for information on “Young Nigga” this is what I found. Now listen to the new single from Young Nigga and get back to me:
